In 2003, the sparkling upstart Florida Marlins took down the mighty New York Yankees and the party was loud enough to carry from our house in Miami to downtown Manhattan.

Then last year a random tree rodent helped the Cardinals win the whole thing.

Of course, for those who are old enough to remember, The Bird is still the sweetest story to ever happen in baseball.  So, we are unleashing the Phoenix Force captured by five of our favorite sketch card artists.

And, since Mark Fidrych and the rally squirrel are combined in one article above, we will finish with a furry flurry.
